The word on Zeytun Mediterranean Grill

Here's the word going around

I haven't been made to feel like family at this grill yet, so this is the diners' read, not mine.

Anthony, The Leander Local · Last checked August 2026

By most accounts you feel like family before the food hits the table, the owner's doing, the kind of guy reviewers say walks you through the whole menu and tells you what to order like he's feeding his own. Chef Roberto brings 22 years out of Italy and time in LA to the grill, and it shows: a lunch special for four that buried one table, hummus, tzatziki, pita, salad, chicken and beef, rice, and a fresh cucumber-mint-apple juice people didn't know they needed, leftovers and all. The kabobs run enormous, the reviews say, the chicken in particular a knockout, all of it made fresh, with serious tzatziki and hummus. Portions this generous, food this clean, run by people this kind, the word goes, it's worth the drive.

Huge fresh kabobs from a chef 22 years out of Italy? I'll show up hungry and leave with leftovers.
