The sweet and spicy bacon burger here can genuinely rearrange your night. One late Tuesday around 10pm whoever was on the grill turned out the best version I've ever eaten, and a 3:30am crew once handed me extra sauces for a taquito and complimented my cardigan when I needed a kind word. The people, when they're on, are the real thing.
The problem is getting to them. This is the slowest Whataburger I've ever sat in, and once you commit to that drive-thru there is no escape lane. I burned nearly 40 minutes one Saturday morning with no other cars in sight, watching the gas gauge tick down. Chili's is faster than this. Fast food shouldn't require a fuel budget.
The Order
The sweet and spicy bacon burger meal. Worth the wait, which is good, because there will be a wait.
⚠ Gotcha
Once you're in the drive-thru you cannot get out. Don't enter on a low tank or a tight schedule.
