María makes flavored Basque cheesecakes, possibly the only ones in central Texas, and definitely the best. I ordered the five-piece sampler and my wife and I ate our way through every one without a single dud. They are gorgeous, the burnt top, the custardy middle, all of it, and the price is almost suspiciously fair for something this good.
What sells me on María is the care. Quick turnaround, fast replies, and a box she decorated by hand with a candle and a happy-birthday decal she just threw in because that is who she is. This is baked-with-love made literal, and you can taste it.
