By most accounts Maria makes flavored Basque cheesecakes, possibly the only ones in central Texas and definitely the best. Reviewers describe a five-piece sampler eaten through without a single dud, gorgeous things, the burnt top, the custardy middle, at a price almost suspiciously fair for something this good.
What sells people on Maria is the care, the reviews say: quick turnaround, fast replies, and a box she decorated by hand with a candle and a happy-birthday decal she just threw in because that's who she is. Baked-with-love made literal, and you taste it.
Five flavors of Basque cheesecake in one box? I'm pre-ordering the sampler the first chance I get.
