Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
The Brass Tap is the beer-and-the-game bar I kept driving past until I finally pulled in, and the verdict is split right down the middle. The pretzel is genuinely great, best I have had since Scholz Garten, the nachos and burgers deliver, and Rowan worked our table fast, friendly, and cool as hell. The beer wall does what a beer wall should. When this place hits, it hits.
Then there is the salsa, which tasted like watery spaghetti sauce with a splash of picante, and for the price that stings. Sauces wander spicy from one visit to the next. This is an adults-drinking-and-watching-football room, not a family dinner: no kids menu, and you will feel it if you bring the little ones. Know which trip you are taking.
The Order
The pretzel, no question, plus the nachos and a burger. Let somebody else order the salsa.
⚠ Gotcha
No kids menu and a bar-first vibe. Bring the game-watching crew, not the whole family.
