The word on Texas Roadhouse

Here's the word going around

I haven't let that cinnamon bun disarm me yet, so this is the diners' read, not mine.

Anthony, The Leander Local · Last checked August 2026

By most accounts the new Leander Texas Roadhouse does what it sets out to. Reviewers admit the signature bun with cinnamon butter shows up warm and fresh and disarms them immediately, the ribeye comes cooked perfectly, the manager runs the floor like a pro, and the takeout window is clean, marked, and fast when you can't grab a table. It's still a busy chain, with all that means: fries and steak ran a touch too salty on one visit, a steak came back slightly overcooked on another, and the peak-hour wait is real. The fix is simple and worth knowing, the reviews say. It does what it sets out to do, no more, no less.

A warm cinnamon-butter bun that wins over the chain skeptics? I'll let it try its luck on me.

The Order

Reviewers point to the ribeye cooked to order, the cinnamon-butter rolls, and the combo appetizer, with to-go working fine if you can't wait.

⚠ Gotcha

Join the waitlist online before you arrive and check in the second you get there, by several accounts. Walk-in waits at peak are brutal.
