Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
The new Leander Texas Roadhouse opened last November and my kid wanted it for his birthday, so a chain steakhouse it was. I will admit it: the signature bun with cinnamon butter showed up warm and fresh and disarmed me immediately. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, the manager ran the floor like a pro and was genuinely kind, and the takeout window is clean, marked, and fast if you cannot grab a table.
It is still a busy chain, with all that means. The fries and steak ran a touch too salty on one visit, a steak came back slightly overcooked on another, and the wait at peak hours is real. The fix is simple and worth knowing. It does what it sets out to do, no more, no less.
The Order
The ribeye cooked to order, the cinnamon-butter rolls, and the combo appetizer. To-go works fine if you cannot wait.
⚠ Gotcha
Join the waitlist online before you arrive and check in the second you get there. Walk-in waits at peak are brutal.
