The word on Summer Blends Cafe
Here's the word going around
I haven't found out which Summer Blends I'll get yet, so this is the diners' read, not mine.
Anthony, The Leander Local · Last checked August 2026
By most accounts Summer Blends is wildly inconsistent. On the bad day, reviewers describe a pesto chicken panini that arrived flat, pesto-free, and never met a press, met at the window by a worker with AirPods in and a finger up. That, people say, is the version that costs them.
Then there's a Maneli, who reportedly walked a first-timer through the menu like she had stakes in their lunch, steering them to the buffalo chicken panini and a matcha with strawberry cold foam, both delivering. The chicken Caesar, the buffalo wrap, mac and cheese for the kids, when the kitchen and counter are dialed in, the reviews say, this spot at the Crossover feeds a whole table well. It just depends who's working.
A buffalo chicken panini and a matcha worth the gamble? I'll roll the dice and hope I draw Maneli.
The Order
Reviewers point to the buffalo chicken panini and the matcha with strawberry cold foam, and hope Maneli is on.
⚠ Gotcha
Service is wildly inconsistent, by several accounts. A great host can make the visit; a checked-out one can sink it.
That's the word on this one.
