Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
I ducked in on my lunch break expecting the usual assembly-line indifference and instead got welcomed like an old friend. The guy behind the counter, arms covered in ink, lit up the second I walked through the door. I can't tell you the last time a counter job made me feel like a person instead of a ticket number. The place was clean, organized, the bathroom too.
It's Subway, so the ceiling on the food is the ceiling on the food. But Sophia stayed late to build me a sandwich she clearly cared about, and Eric and Michael ran the line friendly and sharp. They made my sub exactly how I asked, no editorializing. That crew is the reason this stop is more than a chain logo.
The Order
My usual build, exactly to spec, because they'll actually listen.
