Anthony's take

By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Visited 2026-07-12 · Updated August 2026

Leander. You think you know Leander, Texas. You think you know its food scene. Then you hit Stubblefield's. It’s a food truck, yes, parked and unassuming. But don’t let the wheels fool you. This isn’t some gimmick, this is honest, no bs BBQ. I pulled up, grabbed some brisket. The bark, the smoke ring, it was all there, speaking volumes. Tender, fatty, exactly what you want. The BBQ baked beans? Sweet, smoky, a proper sidekick. And the mac and cheese, creamy, unapologetic, a solid contender on its own. This isn’t fancy, it’s just damn good food.

The Order

The brisket is mandatory. Get it with the baked beans and a side of mac and cheese to complete the picture.

⚠ Gotcha

Parking is either on the street or in their dedicated lot, so scope it out.

That's the word on this one.
