Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
There's real love at this Starbucks when the crew is rolling. Someone cared enough to name the whole lineup, Kaylie, Jose, Fern, TJ, Chloe, Isabella, Melissa, Brad, Jade, John, Joel, the kind of roll call you only write when a place feels like home. That energy is the best thing this store has going, and on its day the welcome is the whole reason to come.
The problem is staffing, and it shows. A twenty-minute wait on a single order, fifteen minutes to even be acknowledged, food sitting out on the counter going cold while two guys making drinks flat-out didn't seem to care. One hardworking drive-thru person carrying a crew that's checked out is a pattern, not a fluke. When they're staffed and engaged, it's warm and good. When they're not, you'll watch your food die on the counter.
The Order
I keep it to a standard handcrafted drink here and bail on anything that needs to come out hot.
⚠ Gotcha
Understaffing leads to long waits and food sitting out cold. Avoid the busy rushes if you can.
