Southside Market landing in Leander, right off 183, is a gift, and the drive-through alone is worth knowing about: fast in, outstanding out. I rolled in braced for a forgettable BBQ sandwich and the staff walked me down the line handing out recommendations and a sample of pork steak, which turned out to be pork butt sliced into steaks. I left fully converted. The Sausage Slammer is a must, the Friday pork belly special stacked three thick slabs, and the jalapeno cheddar sausage as a second meat did not miss.
Everything is consistent, the service stays sharp, and yes, the restrooms are spotless and the room has a genuine vibe. This is also a place to buy links and cuts to cook at home, which I now do. Do not skip grabbing some Southside sauce on the way out.
