Seven Oaks Coffee

Clean lines, minimalist decor, a calm and very quiet room: Seven Oaks is on the spartan side, and that's exactly its charm. My wife got a 12oz latte and I got the 24oz because I have a problem, and both were genuinely smooth, the kind of coffee that makes you sit up. I tour homes around Leander a lot, and this has quietly become the regular stop, easy to work in or just disappear into for a while.

The bakery case earns its keep too. The raspberry rose danish was soft and flaky, the cherry chocolate scone soft instead of crumbly, the cinnamon knot full of flavor. Try the specials while you're at it: someone talked me into a coconut refresher and I was glad they did. Friendly staff, no attitude, a good clean place to slow down.
