The word on Red Horn Brewery & Roastery
Here's the word going around
I haven't run a flight under that tree yet, so this is the regulars' read, not mine.
Anthony, The Leander Local · Last checked August 2026
By most accounts Red Horn is brewery, roastery, and kitchen all under one big calm roof, tucked off the main road so the noise drops away. One reviewer ran nine five-ounce tasters across the twenty-some taps and called every single one above average, which almost never happens. The space seats fifty or sixty inside, but people say the move is outside under the tree, quiet enough for a peaceful coffee break or a long beer afternoon.
Then the food jumps the line: the hot dogs draw sleeper-hit talk, a Banh Mi dog, a Texas Chili dog, a Chicago dog, all over the top. Coffee, beer, or food, the reviews say you're covered, with friendly staff and easy parking sealing it. A spot that does three things and somehow does them all well.
Twenty beers, a coffee roaster, and a Banh Mi hot dog under a shade tree? I'll happily lose an afternoon there.
The Order
Reviewers say build a flight of the five-ounce tasters, then a Banh Mi or Chicago hot dog, and grab coffee from the roaster on the way out.
⚠ Gotcha
Set back off the main road, by several accounts, so it's calm and easy to drive past. The outdoor seating under the tree is the seat to grab.
That's the word on this one.
