Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
The first sip of the Yemeni coffee made me stop talking mid-sentence. Rich without being heavy, spiced in a way that feels like a memory you didn't know you had. I chased it with an Adeni chai and understood, suddenly, why people get emotional about this place. This is centuries of coffee culture poured into a clean, modern room with seating inside and out, and it does not taste like anything else in this part of Texas.
When I came by before they'd even officially opened, the owner and the team waved us in and handed over complimentary tasters, gracious to strangers off the street. That's the whole spirit of the place. The Yemeni tea pots, the Adeni tea for the masala chai crowd, the pastries: I haven't found the bottom of the menu yet and I'm in no hurry.
The Order
A Yemeni coffee and an Adeni chai. The Mofowar extra hot if you want it bolder.
