Penny runs cookie-decorating classes that are pure fun, and she teaches like someone who genuinely wants you to leave able to do it. I signed up, every material was laid out and ready, and she walked the steps so clearly I followed along with ease and went home with six cookies I was weirdly proud of. The Mother's Day class I sat in on had parents and kids grinning the whole way through.

And yes, Penny is as sweet as the cookies, which everyone says because it is true. This is less a grab-a-dozen counter and more an experience, a great gift, a fun afternoon, a reason to use your hands. I am signing up for the next one.
