The case stopped me cold: rows of pastries and cakes, everything fresh and presented like it mattered. I got a frappe and a cappuccino and both came out balanced and right, good temperature, good flavor, no notes. The room is bright and modern but still cozy, the kind of place you settle into longer than you planned, meeting a friend or just sitting quietly with a coffee.

What I'll remember, though, is Wilson behind the counter. He greets people with a real smile and an energy that makes the whole place feel alive, and that's not something you can train into someone. Yes, it's a chain. No, it doesn't feel like one when he's working.
