Regina is the kind of baker who reaches out the second you submit the form and makes the whole thing feel easy instead of like a second job. I sat through the tasting and watched her riff on ideas, and she turned a wedding cake into something that actually looked like us, then made it taste better than it looked. That is the rare double.
I have come back since, because once Regina has your number you do not go elsewhere. The almond cake with raspberry filling and vanilla Swiss buttercream is the one I dream about, but I have heard a grown man swear the gluten-free carrot was the best he ever ate. Birthdays, showers, weddings: she has nailed every one I have thrown at her.
