Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
I pulled up because my fiancee wanted margaritas and tacos somewhere we'd never been, and Night Owl had been winking at me from the road for weeks. Amber walked us through the board like she'd written it, then handed us off to Amy when her shift ended, and Amy was just as much fun. Bri kept the whole thing humming. This is a bar run by people who actually like running a bar.
The trick here is the gravel-lot logic: no kitchen, just food trucks, and the trucks deliver. Brisket tacos, al pastor, a cheesesteak, a smash burger, whatever you're hungry for. The house collab dark beer with a local brewery is the move, dark in color but light enough to keep drinking, and the old fashioned is the real deal. I caught a playoff game on the big outdoor TV and felt no reason to leave.
The Order
The house collaboration dark beer and a plate of brisket tacos. Then an old fashioned to close it out.
⚠ Gotcha
Closed Sundays, so don't roll up looking for a Sunday afternoon beer.
