Loly's ice cream Leander

Loly's smells like a paleteria in Mexico, the kind I grew up chasing down on hot afternoons, and that nostalgia is no accident. Owner Rigo runs it with his whole heart: friendly, takes flavor requests, and makes the ice cream and paletas in house with fresh fruit. The Arroz con Leche paleta is my soft spot, and the white-corn elote is the authentic move, sweet and savory and exactly right. The aguas frescas are ridiculous in the best way.

This is the immigrant kitchen I'll champion every time: scratch-made, family-run, and staffed by people who smile like they mean it. There are dairy-free options too, the Chamoyada is a riot of sweet and tangy, and the whole room is spotless. Brownsville came to Leander, and I'm not leaving.
