Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
The General Tao tofu surprised me, clean and bright, out of the kitchen fast. The veggies tasted genuinely fresh, portions were solid, and the takeout packaging held up so well it survived me hauling it home, jumping a fence, and outrunning somebody's dog. That's a real-world stress test and it passed. There's clear care going into this newly opened spot.
But I have to be straight: a large wonton soup showed up with one black hair in it, and only four wontons for a large. The counter swapped it for a fresh bowl without a fuss, which counts for something. The bones are good here and I want them to do well, but the kitchen's got some tightening to do before I rave.
The Order
The General Tao tofu. It's the cleanest, fastest thing they sent out.
⚠ Gotcha
A large wonton soup came with only four wontons, and one bowl had a hair in it. They replaced it without argument.
