The word on Layne's Chicken Fingers - Leander

Here's the word going around

I haven't paid this check myself yet, so this is the diners' read, good and sour, not mine.

Anthony, The Leander Local · Last checked August 2026

By most accounts the food wins people over: chicken that's crispy and good, Texas toast reviewers call genuinely bomb, golden fries, and a sauce people say they'd drink. The space theme reads fun, the staff welcoming, and the chicken sandwiches in particular draw fantastic marks. On the food alone, diners come in fans and leave fans.

The price is the gut-punch, by several accounts. Reviewers flag fifteen bucks for a few tiny tenders and a little pile of fries, gravy that showed up with no flavor, and a chicken wrap that's 70 percent lettuce and a tender and a half for nine dollars. Sauce fumbles and order mix-ups come up more than once. Cane's gives more food for less, people note. Good flavor, sour value.

A sauce people say they'd drink? I'll happily go find out if it's worth the sticker shock.

The Order

Reviewers point to the chicken sandwich with the Texas toast and that sauce, and say skip the gravy.

⚠ Gotcha

Portions are small for the price, and order mix-ups and wrong sauces happen, by several accounts. Check your bag before you pull off.
