Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
El is the heart of this operation, a man cooking with his whole self and grinning while he does it. He'll whip up your gyro bowl and still find a minute to chat you up like you've known each other for years. I walked up skeptical, the way you get skeptical of a food truck buried in five-star reviews, figuring the family stacked the deck. Then I ate. The chicken shawarma was fresh and loud with flavor, the rice bowl gyro was a serious plate of food, and that white sauce is the kind of thing I think about later.
Portions are generous, the service is fast, and El runs it all with a smile that makes you want to come back just to say hi. There's breakfast on the menu I haven't even gotten to yet, plus a cheeseburger and fries that hold their own. This is the immigrant-kitchen-on-wheels dream done right. Go feed this man's truck.
The Order
The chicken shawarma and the rice bowl gyro, drowned in that white sauce. Save the breakfast for next time.
