The word on Culver’s
Here's the word going around
I haven't put this Midwest custard to the test yet, so this is the converts' read, not mine.

By most accounts people roll into Culver's skeptical and leave with a tray full of evidence. Reviewers say the burgers come fresh and big, the fries land reliably crunchy and hot the way fries should be, and the cheese curds are the sleeper hit. Then there's the dessert side, the frozen custard and the Lemon Ice, which more than one diner calls the actual reason the place exists. Counter staff like a Layla draw warmth points for ringing people up glad they came in. Not everything sticks the landing: the spicy chicken sandwich underwhelms, well-seasoned but no return trip. Stay in the lane this place was built for, the reviews say, beef and dairy and fry oil, and it delivers. People call it the rare chain they'd steer a family toward.
Cheese curds and frozen custard people cross state lines for? That tray has my name on it.
The Order
Reviewers point to a butterburger and cheese curds, then frozen custard or a Lemon Ice to close it out.
⚠ Gotcha
The spicy chicken sandwich is a letdown, by several accounts. Stick to the burgers, curds, and custard.
That's the word on this one.
