Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
I wandered into Cork and Barrel during Saturday Jazz Night, the room humming, and went looking for a birthday bottle of wine. Linn, the wine manager, walked me through it with real knowledge and zero snobbery. That's the energy here: golf-course bar that's open to the public, beautiful neighborhood setting, and a staff that actually wants you to enjoy yourself.
Later I came back for a relaxed pub dinner, barrel seating, a solid beer list, and hearty Irish-inspired plates that were executed with care. Cart girls back on the course, events on the calendar, regulars who clearly treat it as home. Since the reopening it's been a genuinely good time.
The Order
I'd let Linn pick the wine, then settle in with a beer and the Irish-inspired pub plates.
⚠ Gotcha
It sits on a golf course but is open to the public. Catch Saturday Jazz Night if you can.
