The word on Casa Costa Bake Shop

Here's the word going around

I haven't lingered in this old house over a cup yet, so this is the regulars' read, not mine.

Anthony, The Leander Local · Last checked August 2026

By most accounts Casa Costa lives in an adorable historic house, and that alone slows people down in the right way. Reviewers describe stopping in for coffee and a snack, a holiday peppermint mocha swapped to white chocolate landing exactly right, and both the cranberry orange scone and the confetti cookie delivering. The coffee draws genuine praise, the room reads warm and welcoming, built for catching up over a slow cup, and several gluten-free options get a nod from the celiac crowd.

One miss worth flagging from the reviews: the Coxinhas came out mushy through every layer with the flavor not quite landing, though one diner owned they may have ordered wrong. The pastry case is where this place shines.

Excellent coffee in the cutest house in town? That's a slow morning I intend to claim.

The Order

Reviewers point to a peppermint mocha (the white chocolate swap is the move), the cranberry orange scone, and a confetti cookie.

⚠ Gotcha

By a couple of accounts the Coxinhas ran mushy. Steer toward the pastries and scones instead.

That's the word on this one.
