Anthony's take

Casa Costa lives in an adorable historic house and that alone slows you down in the right way. I stopped in on a Friday morning for coffee and a snack, swapped my holiday peppermint mocha to white chocolate, and it was exactly the peppermint hit I wanted. The cranberry orange scone and the confetti cookie both delivered, the coffee is genuinely excellent, and the warm, welcoming room is built for catching up with somebody over a slow cup. Several gluten-free options too, which the celiac crowd will love.
One miss worth flagging: the Coxinhas came out mushy through every layer with the flavor not quite landing, though I will own that I may have ordered the wrong thing. The pastry case is where this place shines. Go for the sweets and the coffee and soak in that old-house charm.
The Order
A peppermint mocha (white chocolate swap is the move), the cranberry orange scone, and a confetti cookie.
⚠ Gotcha
The Coxinhas ran mushy. Steer toward the pastries and scones instead.
