By most accounts the drive-thru is the best thing going here. Reviewers describe an employee patient with a big complicated order ahead of them, helping that customer find the best deal, then turning out a Whopper Junior exactly as asked, hot, the kind of small competence that earns a return. The improved Whopper draws decent marks too, fresher ingredients in a box, though some still prefer the texture of the classic.
Consistency is the whole game, and by several accounts they lose it. One diner reports a peppercorn BLT Whopper combo served cold, fries cold, with a single slice of bacon, and a frozen Coke that was more air than Coke. Catch the right shift, the word goes, and it's solid. Catch it wrong and you'd have done better at home.
Even a fast-food drive-thru deserves a fair shake, and I'll give this one its shot.
