Anthony's take

By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026

The steak enchiladas got me. Blue corn tortillas, green chile sauce, a blanket of cheese, two over-easy eggs riding shotgun, black beans and potatoes filling the plate. The steak was better than most of the steakhouses I've burned money at, and that is not a sentence I throw around. The bartender was also our server, working her tail off, and she built me a custom cocktail out of thin air that I'd order again.

The street tacos are where it wobbles. They come deconstructed, the flavor went flat, the rice was a touch off, and the pinto beans were doing a charro impression without the supporting cast. Skip those and you've got a real meal. People drive in from an hour out for this, and after the enchiladas I understand the gas money.

The Order

The steak enchiladas in blue corn tortillas with the over-easy eggs. Let the bartender make you something off-menu.

⚠ Gotcha

Street tacos arrive deconstructed and underwhelm. Reservations recommended for large groups, and there are gluten-free and vegetarian menus plus weekend brunch.
