Anthony's take

By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026

BKK has been my go-to Thai fix for a couple of years now, and the consistency is the whole story. I first wandered up on a miserable rainy day and ordered like I was feeding a table, an appetizer plus three mains for the three of us. The fried tofu with peanut sauce had the exact texture I'd been hunting, and the Tom Yum with tofu is flat-out fantastic. The pad kra prow with minced beef, ordered medium spicy, was as authentic a plate as I've had in a while.

Portions are big, prices are fair, and they're honestly generous with the shrimp, which never happens. The truck sits in a small food truck park with a little play area for kids and easy parking, so it's an easy stop with the family. My only wish is a bigger menu, papaya salad and fresh spring rolls would push this from reliable to unmissable. Until then, I'll keep showing up.

The Order

Tom Yum with tofu, pad kra prow with minced beef, and the fried tofu with peanut sauce to start.
