Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
Pavarotti drifting through an old-school dining room while the garlic and cheese bread disappears, that's the Bella Sera move and I'm here for it. The Veal Marsala in that brown sauce was the standout, and the Marsala Chicken its equal, authentic Italian flavor that didn't cut corners. Bruschetta Alla Feta to start, spaghetti with Italian sausage to follow, and I walked in hungry and out heavy. The wines are a genuine strength.
Fair warning on the pasta: the Baked Tortellini sits a little heavy, and the lighter Cheese Ravioli they run at the Liberty Hill branch isn't on the Leander menu. The lunch special is good value, though Leander only sends out salad with it. Family-like service, fast and friendly, the kind of room that makes you like a place.
The Order
The Veal Marsala or the Marsala Chicken, with the fresh garlic and cheese bread.
⚠ Gotcha
The Baked Tortellini runs heavy, and the lighter Cheese Ravioli from the Liberty Hill location isn't on the Leander menu.
