The word on 5th Element Brewing

Here's the word going around

Haven't pulled up a stool here myself yet, so this is the word from the regulars, not mine.

Anthony, The Leander Local · Last checked August 2026

The word around Leander is that Mike runs 5th Element like Austin used to feel before everybody discovered Austin, and that, by most accounts, is the highest compliment going. Regulars say they wandered in on a quiet afternoon and stayed anyway, because the beer and the company were enough. Drinkers report tasting clean across the board without hitting a dud, and the nitro cream soda gets name-checked again and again as the smooth sleeper of the lineup. The folks pouring, reviewers note, know the list cold and are happy to walk you through it.

The space does the heavy lifting too, by all accounts: seating inside and out, dogs everywhere, kids welcome, and a rotating cast of food trucks like Cousins Maine Lobster and Flamas pulling up. People mention an event damn near every weekend. This reads like a neighborhood brewery worth being loyal to.

A quiet Saturday and a full flight is exactly how I want to meet this one.

The Order

Reviewers say start with a flight to taste the whole board, then commit to whatever hits, and don't sleep on the nitro cream soda.

⚠ Gotcha

The food truck isn't always parked, so regulars say check before you come hungry, or just come for the beer.

That's the word on this one.
