Anthony's take
By Anthony Martinez, The Leander Local · Updated June 2026
Mike runs 5th Element like Austin used to feel before everybody discovered Austin, and that's the highest compliment I've got. I came in on a quiet afternoon, the food truck out front was dark, and I stayed anyway because the beer and the company were enough. I tasted my way across the board and didn't hit a dud. Even the nitro cream soda, smooth as anything, got me. The person pouring knew the lineup cold and was happy to walk me through it.
The space does the heavy lifting too: seating inside and out, dogs everywhere, kids welcome, and a rotating cast of food trucks like Cousins Maine Lobster and Flamas pulling up. There's an event damn near every weekend. This is a neighborhood brewery worth being loyal to, and I'd plant myself here on a Saturday without hesitation.
The Order
A flight to taste the whole board, then commit to whatever hits, and don't sleep on the nitro cream soda.
⚠ Gotcha
The food truck isn't always parked, so check before you come hungry or just come for the beer.
